A general sports site, co-produced by CNN and Sports Illustrated. Includes links to information on pro and college sports, a multimedia section where you can listen to athlete interviews and even see videos of games, and games that you can play online. The site is searchable, though you have to scroll to the bottom of the first page in order to see the link to the search feature.

ESPN Sportzone
Another general sports site, including information on a variety of team and individual sports, including the usual football, baseball, hockey, etc., as well as extreme sports, NASCAR, horse-racing & more. The site provides: opportunities to chat with athletes, frequently updated headline stories, audio & video clips, online games that you can play and online surveys that you can take. Some of these features require that you download RealPlayer, a free plug-in.
